Solution Sales Manager

As a Solution Sales Manager you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving growth for the company.  

You will utilize “insight” selling to develop a deep understanding of prospective customer needs and drive the sales cycle from lead generation to successful delivery by nurturing relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to the customer.

In your role, you will:


  1. Develop relationships with people in various different roles within prospective customer organizations including business operations, technical staff and senior management
  2. Engage appropriate technical support during the  pre-sales phase to provide prospective customers, particularly those that have emerging needs or are in a state of organizational change, with solution advice 
  3. Demonstrate examples of solutions to prospective customers
  4. Work with the development team to scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with prospective customers
  5. Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents;
  6. Stay current on leading technologies
  7. Support marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc.;
  8. Stay current on what our competitors are doing and be able to articulate our differentiators

Job Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in solution sales
  • University degree
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to actively listen to customer requirements
  • Ability to educate and work collaboratively with prospective customers
  • Mastery of complex sales
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong professional network that can be leveraged to create new opportunities
  • Experience with custom software development frameworks and technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated history of success in business development roles
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Professional services experience an asset
